Fines related to the posting of foreign workers have been doubled and have been capped from a maximum of €2,000 to €4,000 per posted worker and from €8,000 in the event of a repeat offence over a period of 2 years to a maximum fine of €500,000. Adaptations are allowed for one year, provided that the employer complies with the laws and rules of the collective agreement regarding assignment. The authorisation may be renewed. (An implementing decree determines the nature of the possible adaptations.) (b) In the case of rapid secondment or certain activities during the secondment (e.g. B sport, cultural activities, participation in fairs), the two mandatory obligations mentioned above are no longer necessary (new Article L1262-6 of the French Labour Code).
